Using criteria gleaned from stakeholder interviews, user profiles, and site metrics, I draft a recruitment screener for the usability tests that targets the main audience of a site or system. Pertinent criteria often include sex, age, household income, level of tech savviness, and Internet browser preference.
Test Plan
The test plan is a step-by-step guide for the moderator of a usability test to prompt the participants as they navigate a site or system. I create a test plan based on the user journeys created during the analysis phase, focusing on essential tasks and primary goals for the site's users.
Test Analysis & Reporting
Once the usability evaluations are complete, I conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify major takeaways as well as minor usability hurdles.
